Hello everyone and sorry for my absence, you can say that I am on lockout myself.  I am taking a stand along with the players, HAHA, but it is time to get back in the game.  ESPN certainly wasn’t going to let a golden opportunity like this one pass them by  were they, by broadcasting KHL games while the NHL is in a lockout.  How much longer can this go one, and will the league ever get back to where it was last year to salvage a season?

 

 

I sure do hope so because let me tell you something, I sat down on my couch last night after getting home to tune into the Dynamo game and boy was it boring as hell.  There is no fore-checking, no grinding in the corners, the fans chants suck I think because I don’t know what their even saying. Don’t get me wrong there is decent flow to the game and some pretty moves but it does not hold a candle to the NHL that’s for sure.  NHL, p-p-please come back to us because I can not take much more.

What a bender move here is you ask me.  Couldn’t just raise the hands up like you’ve scored a goal before could you, now you have opening the door for a lot of ridicule and I thank you for this one.  I was about to go off on a TOSH. O, 20 seconds on the clock, make as many funny comments as you can about what you just did rant but I wont, the video speaks for itself.

So this morning I wake up to a text message from one of my favorite hockey parents saying check this video out of Tehmeena Afzal. I said ” Tehmeena Afzal, who the hell is that?”  and now  all I have to say it THANK YOU VERY MUCH.  If there isn’t going to be a season then hell I’ll take this.  Tehmeena Afzal might not know anything about hockey and yes she is wearing figure skates and yes she is holding a Sidney Crosby stick even though she is wearing a Rangers shirt but the one thing she  does know  how to do is make the flex on my stick stiff.  Enjoy the 3 minutes and 47 seconds of seduction.

Well if you didn’t already see this, what a way to start a baseball game if you ask me.  Tampa Bay Lighting Coach Guy Boucher puts his own twist on how to throw out the first pitch at the Tampa Bay Devil Rays baseball game the other night.  Looked like a strike to me, and the start of a new game.  I will get back to you on that one.

So if you recall a few weeks back I wrote an article titled Are you not Entertained? about an outdoor game that the Austrian Hockey League was putting together where hockey players would go out and play a game where gladiators once battled for their lives.  Well according to this video it looked like a glorious moment and one that might have put the NHL’s Winter Classic to shame.  Totally not knocking the Winter Classic one bit but how do you hold a candle to the history that surrounded the fans?  You be the judge.
