The Philadelphia Flyers make an offer Shea Weber can’t refuse and one the Predators might not be able to touch

So you know who I wouldn’t want to be this morning let alone this entire week? Nashville Predators GM David Poile, that’s who.  The Philadelphia Flyers have put a major offer on the table that, if Shea Weber wants it and David Poile can’t rebuttal it, will make the Flyers one of the most powerful teams in the Eastern Conference.

The Flyers have agreed to a 14-year offer sheet “upwards of $100 million,” giving Nashville GM David Poile a week to match the contract terms. Could this be it for the Predators and Shea Weber, or will David Poile strike back?

I don’t really get it… if this guy means so much to you, why aren’t you putting your best foot forward as the owner of the team?  Waiting for a great trade for him or not, as your Captain and one of the reasons you made a deep playoff run this season, you have to give the guy a little something, don’t you?

There is still much skepticism and loop holes in this deal, trades, upfront money and of course draft picks. Sit tight because if this deal goes through it is going to be the talk of the league.

Stay where you are Shea,  because this could be a big problem for the Eastern Conference.
