Nash Headed to New York

The New York Rangers and Colombus Blue Jackets finally come to terms on Nash

I’m from New York, and now, so is Rick Nash baby.  If you haven’t heard by now, the Colombus Blue Jackets and the New York Rangers have come to terms on a deal to get Rick Nash on Broadway.  The Blue Jackets dished the power forward over to the bright lights for Brandon Dubkisky, Artem Anisimov, defenseman Tim Erixon and a first-round pick next year.

Not a bad deal, if you ask me. I am thrilled because: One,  we got rid of the unproductive Dubinsky and two, we hardly had to give anything else up for this 50+ goal scorer.  I know guys, getting rid of Dubi hurts, but lets move on! We have Rick Nash. Nash will join the offense with Gaborik, Richards,  and Callahan just to name a few.  Can you imagine that power play? Nash, Gaborik, Callahan with Richards and Girardi on the point, oh my god, I can’t wait.

Hopefully Nash will get acclimated to his new surrounds and fast because the Big Apple is a tough place to live coming from a quiet go about your business town that he is used to.  I hope you are all pumped up like me right now because I think I called and text everyone in the phone as soon as news came through.
