I have to say if your a Flyers fan getting Shea Weber signed seems all the more important these days, now that you just lost defenseman Andrej Meszaros  who is out indefinitely with a torn Achilles tendon.  What heart break for the blue line of the Flyers, who have put long time leader of the team Pronger on injured reserve list, watched the offer sheet of Shea Weber blow away in the wind and now this.

Can this shed some light on a potential move. as there are still some pretty hot free agents out on the market who can certainly come right into the line up and make an impact (um P.K Subban!)?  That would be a recipe for disaster for the Eastern Conference if you ask me and one hell of a steal from the Canadians. Adding that kind of fire power and muscle to your already solid defensive core of Braydon Coburn, Kimmo Timonen, Luke Schenn, Nicklas Grossmann, Bruno Gervais, and Andreas Lilja could cause a lot of problems for teams around the league.

General Manager Paul Holmgren sheds some light on the situation and in what direction they might be looking to go with this recent injury.  Oh man the day to day responsibilities of General Manager, must be nice.
