Jeff Skinner Strikes it Rich with the Hurricanes, that will have him singing , A Milli, A Milli, A Milli all the way to the bank

I couldn’t be anymore jealous of this guy right now, I can tell you that much.  The deal that Skinner just signed off on will have him sitting pretty until he is 27 years old, yeah I said it only 27 years old.  The Hurricanes GM Jim Rutherford took to twitter to announce that they were able to tie him up to a 6 year deal worth $34.35 million.

Not bad huh? All I have to say is Lil Wayne would be blasting through the house right about now.  Skinner’s salary will be $4.35 million in the first year of his new deal (2013-14) and $6 million per season  in the final five years.

The Hurricanes went on to make a statement:

“Jeff is a cornerstone player for our team, and his long-term commitment to the Hurricanes is great news for our franchise and our fans,” said Rutherford. ”At 20 years old, he is still in the very early stages of his career, and we felt it was important to ensure he would be spending much more of it in Raleigh.”

Could you imagine one day you have on some tight ass pants and figure skates, next thing you know your in the NHL and your making $34.35 million at the at of 20, life must be good, life must be really good.
